Lead-up to Elections

After posting group voting results, circumstances may change in the lead-up to the elections. For example, an endorsed candidate may withdraw from the race, or become disqualified through defeat in a party’s primary elections. In this situation, you may conduct new vetting meetings and further group review procedures, including request for submittal of applications and questionnaires from candidates who were not considered before.

After original or second vetting, conduct further lead-up activities to the elections by supporting the candidates endorsed through this process. Now, the focus shifts from vetting to support for voting by the ordinary voter. This support involves unifying and coordinating the efforts of all groups and endorsed candidates. For example, hold public receptions, press conferences, and media announcements that highlight these candidates before the general public.

Support unity among endorsed candidates by sponsoring joint meetings to develop a common appeal to the ordinary voter, through such means as campaign literature and sample ballots. Also, contact other patriot organizations to obtain their active support for endorsed candidates. For example, there may be political action committees (PAC’s) interested in raising funds to pay for common advertising of patriot candidates. This common advertising would ideally, focus on the principles of liberty and limited government, and describe the vetting process that brought about the specific endorsed candidates.

The strongest support for endorsed candidates is through slate-making in conjunction with organized PAC’s. This joint effort multiplies enormously the effect of supporting a single candidate alone.

Ordinary voters are attracted to the perceived strength, unity, and organization of a comprehensive slate of candidates. Slates are especially effective in races where the offices and personalities involved are less well-known, such as state legislature, county council, courthouse, and other local offices.

Encourage members and associates of all patriot groups to actively work for the election of all endorsed candidates. This can involve volunteering to distribute their campaign literature, telephone canvassing and other lead-up activities to Election Day.

On Election Day, marshal all patriot group members, friends, and associates to hand out literature and personally represent endorsed candidates at the polls. This personal presence on Election Day is the final, most direct means of translating a specific vetting result into successful voting for patriot candidates.
