Start A Group

Anyone can easily start a patriot group, which can then obtain affiliation with the Patriot Vetting Committee (PVC). The most direct means is through the groups sponsored by yahoo or google.

Yahoo or Google

Using either yahoo or google, you can easily set up a patriot group for free. The process involves going to their website and following a few simple steps, for example, giving your group a name, describing it, specifying members, and the terms of participation.

Name:
The name should be unique and somehow description of your geographical location or status.

Description:
The description informs the general public about your group. For example, “This group aims to provide a means for people in the (area) to discuss and organize activity that is committed to the principles of liberty and limited government as set forth in the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. It will specifically compare and evaluate candidates for elective office, based on their likely adherence to these fundamental principles.”

Members:
You will need to add or invite members by following the instructions provided. Begin by adding the email addresses of those who among your nearby friends and colleagues who are most interested. The process involves simply placing email addresses in the designated area at the group website, and then pressing a button that activates an automatic mechanism that sends a message to the person’s email inbox. The new member then receives a message announcing the action, and becomes eligible to participate in the group by sending and receiving messages to other members in the group.

Terms of Participation:
You will probably wish to restrict and control participation, such as by “moderating” the group. In this way, no one can participate without your express approval; and you can remove anyone from the list who acts in a disruptive or improper manner. Sometimes, you can restrict participation in other ways as well if you wish.

Facebook

Starting a patriot group on facebook is free, requiring only an email address. Although any group can be created from an existing email and facebook account, it is recommended to use a unique email address to avoid confusion and conflict with your personal account. New email addresses can be obtained for free through through various platforms, with designation as gmail.com (google), yahoo.com (yahoo) or at hotmail.com (Windows Live) Setting up a facebook group requires the same essential issues as on other sites, such as giving a name, description, membership, and terms of participation.

Meetup

The Meetup website allows you to create a group with many robust forms of support and public visibility. For example, it helps locate others in your area who would likely join your group, especially if it is associated with one of the popular national patriot groups, such as Tea Party Patriots and the 9.12.Project. There is, however, a modest monthly charge for these support services, which you can also pay online using a Fully Verified platform.

National Patriot Organizations

There are many patriot organizations that coordinate local activities through groups. The sometimes have means that guide you through a process of forming a group, and then linking your activities into their particular framework of coordination with other associated groups. Starting a group through one of these organizations has the advantage of linking your activity within an existing framework of support with others; however, it may also limit your group’s operation to that framework as well. Several of the most popular patriot group organizations are Tea Party Patriots, the 9.12 Project, and Smart Girl Politics.
